Silent, golden light pervades the room through cracks, curtains, stained glass. The tiny child in his mother's arms, so alike they were, with utmost tenderness stirred in the dappled dawning of the day. In perfect contemplation he rejoiced. His lucky love, his life and kin created cradling here entranced within. The pale forms entwined before him, beauty and her son, he rises mindful of their rest, and pauses in his purpose, respectful of the holy sight there beneath the homemade quilt and eiderdown.
wakeful... In the garden standing three, birds shrill in cacophany at the approach of day. oh, maddening dew! as if subconsious, placed the infant in his arms, stepping barefoot east toward brightening sky 'gainst blackly hewn horizon's glow; she hastens towards the ripe'ning rows of corn, and hand within concealing folds of pearly yarn, a shadow dark as thunder drawn, no regret, no hesitation. reaching towards her desperate he calls... she; steady, slight, eyes skyward stood, and pulled the blacken'd metal crescent to her palm.
shattered sunlight blinding rose to splitting silence... two collapse, convulse and clutch, and scream to rue the ringing air... she gleaming falls. Startled crows rise sudden like blood spattered black and torn, braying hideously into the brilliance of the morning sky.
